Impex Barneveld is specialized in drinking systems for poultry. Our drinking systems are designed primarily to supply birds with sufficient clean water. These systems are economical as they are easy to clean and need little maintenance. Due to the closed water system, hygiene is optimal resulting in a better house environment. There are always enough watering points over the entire floor area. Impex drinking systems are suitable for various types of poultry. As there are various drinking nipples in our product range, the correct nipple to be used depends on the specific type of poultry. In addition to closed water drinking systems, Impex also supplies open drinking systems, such as round drinkers, mini-drinkers and fountain drinkers. Other items are available are feeders, feed trays, Lyon debeakers, candlers, incubators, egg washers and pluckers.

Various nipple types can be used for layers, such as nipples with a 180° movable pin as well as a 360° side-action pin. It is important that the water supply from the nipple is enough but not too much when activated by the layers. The following table indicates the number of layers per specific nipple, subdivided in free-range layers and those in traditional cages.The exact number of birds can vary due to local climate conditions and/or regulations. The main water supply is the water source of the drinking system. Water pressure is reduced to about 1.5 – 2 bar by a main pressure reducer with a combined or separate filter. The water with reduced pressure flows through a water meter where the water consumption can be read. Hereafter the water can be directed through an optional medicine proportional to add medicine and/or vitamins to the water. The filtered water is directed by a pipe system to the pressure reducer of each individual drinking line. The pressure reducer enables low pressure for optimal functioning of the nipple and (drip)cup drinkers. The pressure is set by the pressure reducer and can be verified by the water level in the air outlet set. The water is now available to the birds from the nipples or (drip)cups. Nipples are mounted in thick square PVC tubing in 3.65 meter lengths. (The quantity of nipples is dependent on the quantity and type of poultry and the number of drinking lines.) The nipple tubing is connected by a special fastening clamp to the stabilizing pipe or aluminum profile. The nipple lines are suspended by a winch system, and the hanging points are at 3 meter intervals.
